Seismic Inversion 2025
- Description
- FAQ
- Reviews
This one-week hands-on online workshop on Seismic Inversion focuses on integrating well logs and seismic data for enhanced reservoir characterization. Participants will gain both theoretical understanding and practical experience in seismic inversion techniques such as acoustic impedance, simultaneous AVO, and geostatistical inversion.
The workshop begins with two days of theoretical foundations, covering seismic wave propagation, forward modeling, inversion methodologies, and their applications in predicting reservoir properties. The following three days are dedicated to software-based exercises, including data preparation, wavelet extraction, low-frequency model building, and performing seismic inversion workflows.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to apply seismic inversion to real data, analyze results, and quantify uncertainties to support better decision-making in exploration and production projects.
